Your Guide: Yuiko Aragaki

Yuiko is an English-speaking guide and coordinator who specializes in developing private local tours and programs for individuals and groups. LocalLife&Culture is located on the Boso Peninsula, 80 minutes from urban Tokyo/ Haneda Airport and offers specialized local tours that you can experience the natural beauty of Japan’s ocean, village landscapes and authentic local culture. she also handles urban tours in Tokyo and other regions if requested. A certified guide of WeGuide NOKOGIRIYAMA, a place known for Nihonji-temple’s Great Budda, 1,500 arhat statues, old quarry sites and observation deck where you may enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Bay.

Background: She graduated from a university in Texas and started her career in Tokyo. While working in the marketing department of a foreign company, she learned itinerary management by attending press trips, headquarters and VIPs. After moving to Tateyama in 2021, she worked for the Tateyama city hall to promote “work & vacation-style” long stay for 3 years. She developed a summer-time study abroad program at Boso Penninsula and Tokyo for a history department of a university in Minnesota using her planning & English skills. In 2024, she launched a travel agency, LocalLife&Culture LLC.

経歴：アメリカ・テキサス州の大学を卒業後、広告代理店、外資系企業のマーケティング部で取材旅行や本社・VIP関係者の案内を経験する中で旅程管理とガイド経験を積む。2021年に東京から館山市に移住し、地域おこし協力隊としてワーケーション推進や移住促進に取組む。2023年、大学時代の恩師との繋がりでミネソタ州にある大学の短期留学の受入れを請け負い、南房総を中心に体験コンテンツの開発、現地コーディネーターを務める。2024年に旅行会社「LocalLife＆Culture合同会社」を設立。
